How long is the tenancy agreement for?

From 1 May 2026 The Renters' Rights Act 2025 will abolish Fixed-term Assured Shorthold Tenancy Agreements and all agreements will become rolling Assured Periodic tenancies.
​
Whilst the agreement will be on a rolling basis we will generally seek to regain possession of the property in line with the academic year (between 1 June and 30 September) relying on Section 8 (Ground 4A) of the Renters' Rights Act 2025.
​
We use the standard "National Residential Landlords Association" Tenancy Agreements.
​
We will provide you with a draft copy of the Tenancy Agreement at the stage you decide that you would like to rent our property.
