How do I end the tenancy?

You will be able end the tenancy at any point by giving the landlord at least 2 months' notice in writing. 

This must be done:

• so the tenancy ends on a day when the rent is due or the day before the rent is due

• in writing, for example by letter, email, WhatsApp

Important - However, as the tenancy agreement is a Joint agreement notice to quit served by one tenant will terminate the agreement for all tenants.

Once a valid notice is served, it may not be rescinded unless there is an agreement in writing between the landlord and the tenant before the notice expires.
